Title: Soldat 1.5.1e Beta (with server)

Hello community!

So it's finally here: The long awaited release candidate next beta.

We planned to put out a release candidate but because the anticheat api is not ready yet, we decided to put out beta version first.

This is the dev teams first beta version so if anything fails let me know.

The release candidate will follow later (once the anticheat stuff works :P).

Aaand here is the current changelog:
(Note: It includes all changes since Soldat 1.5.0 not just the stuff we did)


Soldatclient changelog
Added new DM map: Tigran
Added 3 new CTF maps: Campeche, Triumph, Scorpion
Added 4 new HTF maps: Feast, Dorothy, Mossy, Tower
Added 6 new INF maps: April, Belltower, Changeling, Motheaten, Warlock, Flute
Added Flag throw button up/down still works.
Added Fuzzy Hashed HardwareIDs
Added ability to paste IP:Port/Pass formatted strings into the IP field of the Join Game tab. soldat:// URL's are also supported
Added 9 new Polygon types: Only (Team Colour) collide Polygons, and Only (Team Colour) + Enemy Team Bullets collide Polygons. Carrying a flag will disallow the player passing through any of these Polygon types
Added Polygon type: Exploding Polygon. Touching an Exploding Polygon will instantly blow up the player and throw their limbs around like confetti
Added Polygon type: Hurt Flaggers. Touching this kind of Polygon while holding a flag will periodically do damage (double 'hurt' poly damage)
Added Polygon type: Only flaggers collide. Anyone carrying a flag will be unable to pass through this type of Polygon
Added Polygon type: Bounce polygon (polygon normal magnitude determines bounciness)
Added 'End of round...' text will display to Spectators in Survival Mode. Appears above 'Following <Player>' text
Added Score Board (F1) will now display the current Server Name at the top left corner
Added Score Board (F1) will now display the "Server Info" message under the server name
Added Option to disable rendering of background scenery for improving performance on low end systems
Added FPS Limiter
Added top right label color changes on inactive/active window - like it was in good old Soldat
Added new lines for wave respawn timer to default.txt
Added option for minimum respawn time for team based games
Added bots now have a unique icon appear in place of their ping in the scoreboard
Added ingame Weapon Statistics for Registered players (Press F2 while in the F1 menu)
Added "Offline/LAN Mode" for playing Soldat multiplayer with no connection to the Internet. To join a server in Offline/LAN mode, the server must have "Connection=LAN" set in its soldat.ini, or started with the -lan parameter

Modified replaced many of default maps with remakes: Veoto, ctf_Kampf, ctf_Lanubya, ctf_Maya2, ctf_Ruins, ctf_Run, ctf_Viet, inf_Argy, inf_Fortress, inf_Outpost
Modified renamed maps: ctf_Maya2 as ctf_Mayapan, ctf_Death2 as ctf_Death, ctf_Dropdown2 as ctf_Dropdown, ctf_MFM2 as ctf_MFM
Modified changing mouse sensitivy ingame now increases/decreases by 1% per button press rather than 5%
Modified players can no longer grab the flag when a round of Survival has already ended. You can still capture or return
Modified Spectators can only use Team Chat in Survival Mode while a round is active. Only applies to Spectator team
Modified Dead/Spectator players in Realistic mode can only see enemies the player they are following can see
Modifier players can not see enemy team chat in Realistic mode if the enemy player is not visible
Modified Team Bink is now reduced by 50% when Friendly Fire is disabled. You will get no Team Bink at all if you are not moving
Modified Score Board (F1) has been redesigned for team-based game modes
Modified Score Board (F1) can now be scrolled up/down (only if required) by using the Page Up/Down keys. An arrow will appear on the right-center side of the board if scrolling is available
Modified Score Board (F1) is now sorted by caps/kills/deaths
Modified Weapons Menu will now only display non-default values (on Mouse Over) if joining a Weapon Mod server
Modified complete rewrite of start.exe
Modified profile box menuitem selection is visible on startup and tabchange
Modified window tabmenu look is the same like in old Soldat 1.3.1
Modified Config.exe has a Soldat gui theme
Modified did some small Soldat.exe gui changes
Modified calculations of checksums for weaponmod/maps

This is awesome. I just decided to come back to check and see if there was a new version yet, and lo and behold, one was actually released less than an hour before I did this.

Congrats to the new team for getting a new beta release out. At this rate, 1.5.1 is going to be the best version yet.

Problems:
1. Can't configure "move left" key because it does not exist
2. -1, 0, 1 etc. appear in console
3. Can't reload with middle mouse button key. Works
4. Score -> +/- after capping?. Is it + or -, make up your mind?
5. Winner is supposed to be determined by kills, not caps. The winning team is supposed to be determined by caps. Why would anyone kill anybody, if there would be no point?
6. Nades are OP (no more eats)
7. Version text is where the grenade icons are.
8. F5 captures a screenshot of your last kill and also stops/starts music.

Weapon statistics dont work and the f1 menu looks bad to me(the separated teams), server info and name is fine though. Anyway good job k.

PS: I will miss the crouch float bug ;<

@edit: fps drop bug occuring for me on every remaked map(lanubya, maya, kampf,ruins,run etc).
Also the new ctf maps are considered bad.

As you said, EnEsCe added a trigger which can use Ip:Port:Pass:Team...

First: it can't set resolution higher, and whines something like "you must have DirectX 8 or better", even though i have at least DirectX 10(or was it 9? dunno) nvm, it wasn't 1280x800 but 1280x1024, which my comp DOESN'T support.

yep. i stood in place, constantly "returning" the flag when it fell down and back up. altho that may be map bug (ctf_scorpion)

well, if meteorisch is correct, i misunderstood.

Thanks for the feedback!

The antivirus messages are weird. Just installed adaware and it detects soldat.exe as trojan.
However the weird thing is: No other files I compiled are detected.

I'll reinstall windows within the next 3 days just to be sure...

I will check out all the bugs you posted here after that.
Don't worry I'll read them. Please make sure you include all information I need to fix your bug.

The IRC is currently really active and I can't read all the messages with the pms and mass highlights.
Would be better if you add all your issues here for now then I can read the stuff later when I have time.

It will not download maps. Crashes soldat if I attempt to download.

Thanks for the beta release. I've only got one issue so far.
When running Soldat in VMware (default Soldat settings, VMware 3D graphics hardware acceleration enabled) I only get ~11 FPS. Previous versions (1.5.0 and 1.3.1 tested) run with ~200 FPS.

^-- That's my one and only disappointment. The whole point of changing the way flag is thrown was because people threw it by mistake when accidentally pressing up+down. How about having up+down NOT work if a different key is set? If no custom flag throw key was set - THEN use up+down by default.

Anyway, great job overall. Change log looks very promising, gonna test it in action now. <3

(I should probably fix up my inf_Abel remake..)

Good job, judging by the massive changelog, seems like you guys have done a lot in a short amount of time.
From what I can see, some things were done by EnEsCe. :P
But yeah, even without those the amount of fixes is still pretty massive.

I figured out that downloading a new map works fine, but redownloading a map due to map violation makes it so that it freezes soldat, forcing you to have to delete the map in order to download the new one.

Also, the default texture is "ananas.bmp" instead of "banana.bmp" and there is NO DEFAULT EDGE either.. Either set the defaults BOTH back to Banana or make a new texture and edge named "default.bmp"

sure why not. not like its hard for them to read through a few pages of posts compared to using some fucking ridiculous mantis system for inputting bugs like FLAB and enesce tried to do which involved accounts and other crap

limit mouse to the game window please, so that win7 popups from the taskbar don't pop up etc
it's annoying when you whole game window disappears randomly

OK BUTTON NO WORK IN LANG TAB IN CONFIG

Good job, judging by the massive changelog, seems like you guys have done a lot in a short amount of time.
From what I can see, some things were done by EnEsCe. :P
But yeah, even without those the amount of fixes is still pretty massive.
I seriously doubt that. I'm sure the current guys had to go through the trouble and undo what EnEsCe did to the game.

Facing some issues with the FPS even on solo.
And the weapon menu's been overlapping on my screen 800x600, and higher, which has never happened before.

meh i noticed crouchbug while testing it. :/
Unfortunatelly i was killed before i could record that.

And flag can be thrown through flagger collide polygons, so they in fact don't stop the flagger.

Having modified background colour in a map results in "wrong map version" error. As suggested here (http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=38165.0), one should be allowed to decide the colour by oneself.

The key for flag throwing is pretty silly at the moment. Currently it's just W+S behind one keystroke - this causes the soldier to jump or roll while throwing. Also, as Loner pointed out, eliminating the possibility of accidental throwing was the main reason for the suggestion and it's not changed.

Too bad no Chatmod integration =P

So, bug reports so far:

- Missing "Move Left" button in controls.

- In scoreboard: you should increase spacing above team separators. Right now team names in scoreboard are too close to elements above (nicknames, top of the scoreboard).

- Crouch bug is still there, happened to me and someone else 2 times. (YOU LIIIIEEEEEEDD TO US!!!!! </3)

- Can't drop LAW while it's reloading (I think it's a relatively old bug, but since flamer is fixed - might as well fix the LAW, especially since it's used more often than flamer).

- Weapon stats are blank in multiplayer (the stats window is visible, but no weapons or stats for them are shown). Someone (Mexer, I think) said that it worked for him in multiplayer, but then he went to change some settings, came back and stats stopped working for him too.

- Weird numbers appear in console every now and then.
First it was like this: they started at -1 and then kept decreasing every 15-20 seconds. If I switch servers - they didn't reset, they'd just pick up from the last value and keep decreasing. They would only reset to 0 if I restarted the game. In multiplayer they seemed to appear each time I got a kill (and would decrease by -1), but sometimes they appeared when I didn't kill anyone.
Then: I further tested this with bots in single player, and numbers seemed to appear less often. This time they appeared more randomly and less when I killed the bots.
Then.. something happened: I threw the flag with the G button, and suddenly those numbers started reacting to my mouse's scrolling wheel. If I scrolled down - the value would decrease, and if I scrolled up - it would increase with every scroll. Restarting the game would reset the value back to 0, but now it's still tied to scrolling wheel. :/ I went back to the server to test in online, and it also was tied to the wheel. So it doesn't appear randomly anymore but instead changes with every wheel scroll.
What I tried to fix this: assigning/unassigning/reassigning something to the scrolling wheel, reassigning flag throw button, using different profiles - same thing (scroll wheel increases/decreases the value and spams numbers in the console).

Other comments:
- When creating a new profile - it should create a default "Major" profile, and not copy the one you're currently using.
- Isn't SOCOM a bit too powerful now? It's a lot faster and seems to have better range than before. It's much more fun to play with, but in in terms of balance it now seems superior to other secondaries. actually I guess it's ok, since other secondaries are pretty-much one-shots...
- Fast reload for barrett is unnecessary IMHO. It's not really a big issue since 10 ammo is already more than enough, but a long reload should still be there to prevent camping for too long. It may even be worth lowering the amount of ammo in one clip to, maybe, 5-6?
- Will Moonshine, Rise and Warehouse remakes be added for testing? Also Krab remake (http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=39706.0).

I have absolutely no idea how you people press W+S by accident. It's never happened to me, but maybe it's because I'm left-handed. If it's really that big of a problem you can just go around it with AutoHotkey (http://www.autohotkey.com/):

It'll remap key combination [W]+[S] to [nothing], and make [CapsLock] simulate [W]+[S], thus throwing the flag. I used capslock because I don't think it's really used in regular chit-chat and won't interfere with other things.
Of course, remapping capslock is useful only for versions prior to 1.5.1, as it seems to have dedicated button for throwing the flag.

Uhm I still have the old bug, that when someones black, and you cannot see this person ingame shooting you. But in f1 he's noticed as a spectator.

As you can see on the top right of the death console hes/her name is black.

This is a old known bug, not sure if it was supposed to be gone with this version though.

Another bug, which was introduced in 1.5: when trying to start a vote - you no longer see messages "you have to wait 2 minutes after joining the server" or "you have to wait 2 minutes after your last vote". Nothing is displayed in the console.

Also, unicode doesn't seem to work (a 1.5.1 bug, I think)

I doubt that the ongoing dev-team didn't do any changes but as far as I can see most of the changes are from EnEsCe. I don't wanna start a discussion but give him the props he deserves. Just check the old changelog from v1.5.1.b12.

At long last: Devs, pls remember what has had happend the last time we had a public beta-version. There where 15 beta-builds and finally even a release candidate (aka build 15). But this whole procedure took more than six months as far as I can remember. And after some weeks nobody cared for the beta anymore (at least the test-servers where empty). Pls don't do the same. Do not choose the Firefox-like way. Don't try to make the next version perfect. What we only need is another "final" version. A version which replaces the old one. So that everyone needs to update the client. So that after one-two weeks the majority of servers use the newest version. It's not about a bugless version. Who cares if the new version will have some flaws? We are used to this and still we played it like crazy.
Why I'm saying this? Because we need some action/publicity which also reaches the non-forumers and the casual-players. We need to stop the decreasing player-count. And we also need some more forumers. So: Go for small releases (like Mozilla's gonna do with the next versions - Firefox 5's schedule is in approx. three-four months btw). Try to fix only the most important bugs in this version and then go for the 1.5.1 FINAL.
Don't get me wrong - I appreciate everything what you've done but I'm fearing again that in some weeks it will be the same situation as before...

I agree. Today I've had some really fun matches with a lot of people from SF, but now it's almost 10PM and all beta servers are almost dead. I really hope that people are just taking a break and not abandoning beta completely.

When trying to run modded Soldat using starter.exe - Soldat doesn't start up. No error messages, no anything, starter just closes but the game doesn't launch. Non-modded Soldat starts just fine when using starter.

Judging by its position I'd say it has something to do with the in-game lobby chat window (one that opens with "~" button).

But actually: What does this even change? If it changes some settings which could improve the connection somehow then pls update it to the 21st centure. Noone uses 56k or ISDN any more. Let us choose between download-speed like "1Mbit/s", "2Mbit/s", "3Mbit/s", "6Mbit/s", "10Mbit/s", "12Mbit/s", "16Mbit/s", "20Mbit/s", "25Mbit/s", etc.

5. did you changed polygons in maps? for example i can go into tower in airpirates cuz there is some doesn't collide polygons:

i have one question... did you make any chages in net code? i mean fixing hits and eats cuz this is most importand thing, dont it?

all the bugs i've seen so far are already reported, i just wanna say good the beta is here but im not that happy.. many bugs still there and i've seen on the beta more bugs then on current soldat version :O well its beta... but more bugs^^? (beside the new features flag trow - new button and such stuff)

hopefully there will come fast fixes :D the litle bee's here reported the bugs quick :D xD

Antialiasing is disabled in vista/win7 because it fucks up for some reason,  sorry you feel that way about tigran afaik the things removed are the transparent polygon mountains if you feel like doing those into images and putting them in the background I can add that version instead. or just remove it up to you really.
No idea why the left button isnt there is on my screen.... will be fixed though no worries.

That particular airpirates bug was fixed but seems to have missed makeing it into the beta will be fixed.

The flagthrow is like that because thats how the netcode works, on the background color I will add a override background color option just hasnt got around to do it yet.


Thanks for the beta release. I've only got one issue so far.
When running Soldat in VMware (default Soldat settings, VMware 3D graphics hardware acceleration enabled) I only get ~11 FPS. Previous versions (1.5.0 and 1.3.1 tested) run with ~200 FPS.
I will add more options for the fps limiting like disabling of it as well as choosing to run lower resolution timers that dont use as much cpu.

I presume this is not meant to happen... offline it appears this plain black thing, online it become culurful :L
Will add the missing scenery for the next upcoming release.

Ok after some time of testing on normal mode ctf here's my thoughts:

- The F1+F2 wep stats go blank after a while
- The nades still stick in the ground and bounce buggly with the trail pointing upwards (I really wanted that to be fixed)
- The new poly stuff: If you are red and you carry the blue flag, you can't get into, let's say, your team's spawn base. - but you can still Throw it, and the one who grabs it IN the spawnbase can't get out until they throw it as well.
<may come up with more after a modification>

The weapons:
- DE are too underpowered
- barrett's reloading is ROFL
- socom is so fast it's funny
- ruger is a bit overpowered
- knife seems to take less dmg?
- minigun's power: beast. (overpowered)
- great job on the chainsaw - no reload time ftw

That's my thoughts so far.

That's my thoughts so far.

Move your thoughts to the weapon balance section. The devs have actually nothing to do with the balance; and you could've already tried out the balance for months in #Soldat.gather IRC channel with the rest of the "clan scene", with the real PROS who consider the balance to be better than the old one. Including me.

Regarding Fps Limiting I have added Two options:
1. Enabling disabling of high resolution timers which kills the fps on some lowerend machines.
2. Enabling disabling of fps limitation.

It should be noted though if you enable fps limitation without high resolution timers you will basically lock fps at ~60 fps because of the low resolution of the timer used, and the amount of fps you set as limit doesnt really matter.

ermm I suppose that's sorta cool for modders...
There seems to be many bugs in this beta however.

New stats (f1 then f2) is a cool idea. However, issues:
1. Does not work online.
2. Works in offline. If going from offline to online, it transfers the stats (is it meant to do that? if so I'd make sub options to display 'All-time' stats or 'current' stats). So online I have the all the stats from my offline game, and they don't update at all.

kaspersky sux anyway. Checked (with avast) It contains nothing worth putting an alert at.

1. I forgot to mention that cyrillic charset (possibly some others too) still doesn't work (since one of previous 1.5.1 betas): old mantis report (http://bugs.soldat.pl/view.php?id=520)

2. Updated version of Russian localization has been posted here (http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=37276.0).

3. Config.exe uses default English localization Font1 (BankGothic Lt BT) only and doesn't apply font changes for itself after changing language setting.

quick questions (dunno if they've already been asked)

1) how secure is the hwid?  can a hacker modify his (aside from physically using a different computer or parts)?  does every player necessarily have a different hwid from everyone else (ie: is it collision proof)?
2) is the flamethrower's hit registration better?  it pretty much almost NEVER works.
3) can we use custom images for InterfaceText/Image in the scriptcore?  what images are allowed
4) What is refreshX?
5) What are the reasons for limiting the number of images or texts or bigtexts etc. in the scriptcore?  is it cuz slow computers will have trouble with it, or just so script writers won't abuse it?  it'd be nice if the limit were higher (or even if different scripts running at the same time have their own set of ID's for these things so that one script's drawings doesn't overwrite another's (but that seems rather difficult to change i admit))  :)

- Having less then 6 profiles (witch most people have), Pressing Page Down when selecting profiles causes error message:  List index out of bounds.
- Mouse sensitivity still increases/decreases by 5%
- Tabbing highlight in menus are in strange orders, for example in 'player' tab the jet color is the last in order instead of secondary weapon.

yeah, still get the FPS drop "bug". not sure what it is. after 10 - 15 minutes of gameplay, suddenly soldat decided to eat up all my CPU and the game drops to 5 - 8 FPS, which is obviously unplayable. also in this state, certain mouse clicks don't register, so i'll be stuck jetpacking or automatically firing.

i'm playing in windowed mode (set at 90%), i have altered the settings (setting bitrate to 16, turned off rendered polys/backgrounds, even less particles etc) and yeah, same issue.

from what i can play though, this is sweet as hell. so good work with that. it seems a lot faster paced, and a lot smoother. really looking forward to playing.

As far as I know it's still there. You don't have to do anything. Just press w+s to throw the flag. New custom button doesn't change anything.

I've fiddled around with the FPSLimit, Vertical Sync, Refresh rate, Backbuffer Count and Troubleshooting. The only solution I found was to use an FPSLimit that was twice as high as my monitor's refresh rate (2x60 Hz). An FPSLimit of 60-119 gives a choppy frame rate. This was a very unintuitive solution to a problem that shouldn't ever occur.

I hope Soldat one day gets to be brought into the 21st century with forced triple buffering, page flipping, and a refresh rate that equals the monitor's. The only options that users should need are resolution and whether to run in fullscreen.

I got the same thing

- Could not find scenery: fx_li_beam2-sk.png    (Aero by BN)

I will check if there are any more maps missing scenery.

Edit - I get some strange edges on Eagle_Arrow's Feast and Tower by R1kko
Edit - Turning off render smooth polygons fixed it.

That's the first option I had to change, I put a very high number to simulate older behavior.

even though i use spas a lot it is better not to have infinite shots. problem is that spas was not superior in the game. only thing good about was 2 hits to kill (3 most of the time -_-' because of lag and stuff) and repeating shots. you prevent repeating shots you added +5 reaload -1 ammo time and made other weapons powerfull.
my opinion is that 8 or maybe 9 ammo for spas and no +5 reload maybe even -5. it has never been a superior even lost its best specialty and still making it worse. +1 dmg 122 to 123 is wortless
i dont know if am correct with it but spas also kicks less when fired

remove barets bink and no need for "bink" in weapons.ini lol

no bink at minimi,steyr and ak nothing to talk about just ridiculous.
lots of players at gather complaning about steyr.it was a pretty good even with decreased to 25 ammo no need to make it superior weapon of the game

knife could increase in damage to kill from far throws
Knife dmg -10000 1.4.2 to 1.5

ruger could have some more damage or less movementacc

Added ingame Weapon Statistics for Registered players (Press F2 while in the F1 menu) not working ?? new menu comes HS % etc. is ok but no statics seen

most people didn't like the new ruins

player easily pass through the poly left of the red flag/right of the blue flag. happened 5 times in 2 maps

I'm happy for the button, but if up/down still works, then it defeats the whole purpose.

The reason it was bad, is that each time I want to do a cannonball move (very fast horizontal movement trick, it requires you to press up/down to execute) while I was carrying a flag, it threw it away almost always, making the whole thing pointless. The move is extremely useful, but this kills it.

If you'd give a choice for player to EITHER use the flag throw button or up/down, I'd be the fastest and happiest flag runner in the world.

first things i found.
5. did you changed polygons in maps? for example i can go into tower in airpirates cuz there is some doesn't collide polygons:

That particular airpirates bug was fixed but seems to have missed makeing it into the beta will be fixed.
Whaaaaaat? I thought that passage was supposed to be there. :|
And no way removing it is a good thing. That passage at the base of the lighthouse is first of all: A nice shortcut and makes the gameplay a little more fast paced. Secondly: it's always fun to try and kill someone at the top of the lighthouse while hiding in the passage at the bottom of the light house.

Only thing that should be done about it is making more clear which parts of the lighthouse you can walk/shoot through, and which you cant.

Either WS or custom key should be enough. I don't think there are many people who absolutely MUST have BOTH of those working at the same time.
To me there's not even much point in keeping WS either. IMHO a single key is much easier to press and is superior to WS in every way.

With single key it's much harder to perform power throws, at least for me.

Power throwing is a bug, why should it be noted?

I honestly cannot see how could pressing two keys be easier than pressing only one key.

red numbers at writing console happens when you move the mouse wheel. has no limit goes over 4000 :D

ruins when a flag carrier dies near red point flag sticks there. you can't return because it is too close to flags normal place so you cap there under bridge :D

I'm happy for the button, but if up/down still works, then it defeats the whole purpose.

The reason it was bad, is that each time I want to do a cannonball move (very fast horizontal movement trick, it requires you to press up/down to execute) while I was carrying a flag, it threw it away almost always, making the whole thing pointless. The move is extremely useful, but this kills it.

If you'd give a choice for player to EITHER use the flag throw button or up/down, I'd be the fastest and happiest flag runner in the world.

Same for me.  :(  Guess I'll simply forget about the idea of playing ctf.

PS: There's a horrible polybug on snakebite map, on the flagspots, it turns into quicksands after you throw the flag away (Or more like parts of the ground are 'only *team* flag carrier doesn't collide' ones ;p), feex eet.

Yeah im still skeptical will this bring soldat back now i entered soldat and the server with most players is a 7men Teammach ("Yes i removed all Filers") sad all other servers are 6 or less players  :-[

I opened config.Chosen my videocard which is veeery old(1999 year,maybe)
Chosen all setting which works on my 1.5.0...launched soldat...

Firstly i haven't seen registration window.I was surprised and thought that i am lucky and needn't to pay for it
Second: i opened Myltiplayer button,requested for servers list,chosen one and pressed "Join Game"
My soldat finished it's work.I was surprised again.

Again launched it and tried again,ftw
Again soldat closed himself

Then i launched it again and started deathmatch.Tried to start,need to say*
My soldat started choosing resolutions between 640x480 to 1280x1024 few times.
Then it closed.
I did it again and again,changed some settings but nothing helped me!

WTF?

If it cuz of my wood PC so i am agains this version :D

I have absolutely no idea how you people press W+S by accident. It's never happened to me, but maybe it's because I'm left-handed. If it's really that big of a problem you can just go around it with AutoHotkey (http://www.autohotkey.com/):

But...

It's useless because it makes the fake cannon ball move impossible.

enesce "fixed" this 1% to 5% by my sugestion on mantis. I use 200% for DE and 80% for aug/barret and 130% autos, i cant change faster enough on 5s respaw to those values with only 1%. Please consider that.

PS.
I think its just cause most people are morons,trolls and idiots that cant play normally a game witough doing any shit the "W" + "S" drop is for me the only and will stay the only drop function in solldat
