I haven't posted in a while, but heh, here's one REALLY relevant thread of mine.

So, hey, I challenge you to beat me at this typing test, pick your mother language or any other language you're comfortable with on yer' old keyboard.

And...

Let the challenge begin!

I'm really tired which is why I'm so slow and my accuracy is so horrible.

Maybe I'll try again tomorrow. I used to be able to get up to 150wpm in UltraKey six years ago.

My best was about 50 words per minute on my laptop keyboard. I don't think I need proof of that. I actually type a lot faster than I read so I hit a wall.

I never was a fast typist. Additionally, recently I have switched from qwerty to Colemak (http://colemak.com/) keyboard layout.

Took the test again one more time to see if I was any better when I wasn't sleepy, unsurprisingly, I was.

For fun, I decided I would try it in a finnish, I did better than I was expecting:

I also tried it in polish, a language I don't know anything about, got 22 WPM, mainly because I couldn't memorize the keyboard.

Edit: wtf, the WPM and correct words don't match, damn, which one is right.
Edit2: went back and tested again, it messed up again, 36 WPM, 27 right and 3 wrong, and I know I got more than 3 wrong there =\

I never cheat when I'm good enough to not need to. Your argument is flawed. You can also see that I messed up a few times unlike your screenshot where you probably just used a script to automatically copy/paste the text as it appears. The site is extremely easy to cheat in that regard, I just need not to.

I wasn't even serious, I know the test results you showed were genuine.

Also, no script is needed, it's even easier to cheat than that, all you simply have to do is change the image url, and you can have it show whatever you want.

Tried 5 times and got 84, 83, 80, 86, 85. Will try again when not in the early hours of the morning, but I'm happy with that.

I felt like I did a lot worse than I actually did. Yay! <3

It's funny how my mind kept trying to understand the text, which was bothering me; may have hurt my score but it's difficult to say (can't imagine by very much though). Did this bother anybody else? I tried a different service which had actual sentences and some grammar, resulting in 79 wpm.

If only my mind could work as fast as I could type hehe. /dream

WPM record has gone up by 10 since last week. Though I met someone who I think has never done these before and she got 115 and 119 almost right after starting. Guess some people just are natural.

I never learned proper typing techniques using all of the fingers, and make mistakes often when not looking at the keyboard. I really should learn to type properly at some point. :S
