Hi everyone!
I was working on the buildscripts for soldatserver and soldat for the last couple days.
They are up to date now and I can compile soldat and soldatserver from commandline (cmd.exe you know :P).
There is some crazy stuff in there like booting a headless virtualbox ubuntu virtual machine, sshing into it and executing the compile commands and then grabbing the executable.
I had some issues with lazarus due to multiple installations of the freepascal compiler which ate a ton of time till if figured out what exactly was wrong...
The side effect was that soldatserver is now compiled with the latest lazarus and freepascal version and we finally managed to update the pascalscript version in the delphi linux server build (it was very old).
Besides that there were some breaking builds which had to be fixed (we need a build server :P).
Also the beta team is currently testing the rc2 lets see how it turns out.

Yeah, we're testing. :P
-
Awesome, keep it up! ^^

who cares about the beta team testing it's not like it's the final version just let everyone play it lol

what about we take out the major bugs for you so you don't have to do that

if it was released to the public all the major and minor bugs would've been reported more quickly and probably more bug reports that you guys can't see...

HHAHAHA can anyone read the post above without laughing hard?
Sweet Troll Jegus, they are called "Beta Team" for a reason...

A beta team for a dead game which updates every 2+ years? I would rather have RC released and let the community point out it's flaws and how the weapons work, not just 7 people who probably lack experience in the competitive scene and give biased thoughts on weapons of which they assume should play like..

Your last reply contains a few untrue statements about the state of game. For example we still release more often than 2+ years, also the game is not dead, even if it seems like people love the drama about it.
People who really care about the game are in the beta team.
Let them have a chance to contribute.
You will get a chance to try the rc soon.
