Seriously though, I can't nominate anyone for most of these simply because I don't remember a lot of members from 2013, especially the less likable ones as I tend to remove them from my memory so they don't waste my brainspace. And as for the positive nominations - I just can't choose. :P
I just want to say big thanks to all the devs, and especially Shoozza and ##th_Account for keeping us informed with the devlogs and actively taking part in discussions. And everyone else on the forums who stuck around here for so long and keeps this place alive - Smiluu, homerofgods, DarkCrusade, jrgp, and whoever else I forgot (as long as they're awesome).
By the way, Drax came here in 2014 so he doesn't count, unfortunately

The forums are pretty dead so we don't have a whole lot of people to nominate.

Everyday I see loots of people on forum but they quit after few minutes.
You have nothing to say?
Nothing to complain?
No fresh ideas?
Nothing?
Most of you login here and quit, if you have time to login few times a day, you probably have time to write something, even refresh some old topic, post something in lounge, complain about annoying things. ANYTHING.
Its funny because you are veterans of soldat and after two years(I registered year ago, but before that I liked to check this forum for time to time) I see that most of you don't care too much about soldat/forum anymore. You only show up When Shoozzaa or other Dev show something, and after week: nothing, because MEH! its old, nothing exciting anymore I have better things to do...
And I see that most of you like to complain that soldat is old, maps are old, menu is old, players ale annoying, you dont play like before... bla bla bla. But No on of you work to fix it(Maps, new ideas)
For Example:
Everyone know that, soldat sooner or later gonna need remake'ed maps to fit need of new players...
None of old map makers dont care about that...
And if some newbie create something you rather insult him(Hi DarkCrusade!) or ignore him, so maybe he stop making stuff in his free time just because he would like to help and show more ideas, and when he gtfo for good it would be 5% more empty forum.
Sorry for that, I have headache and everything annoys me today :/

And its sad that other veteran members keep looking at forum everyday but they dont do anything.
They are sick? in retirement? If they have time to check forum its nothing hard to write something...

Guess what killed this forum and game. I will give you a little hint: backthen there was a mode called dodgeball that included about 300 players. Right now there are about 20 of them. What did change during these years? Developers created another bug with knives stopped in the middle of air, which become a gamebreaking bug for this mode. :-)

to be honest, I dont think that 300 DB players could change anything.
Soldat is not so young it have almost 12 year, compared to other games its good damn miracle that still people play it. Sometimes I see less people in Crysis or Halo...
I'm one of this player that play for fun so I dont focus on one game type(db, climb) so I see more everytime when I play in some random servers, and I can say that main problem of lack of players are... players them self and lack of fresh look of game.
Players because there is more and more random dicks that think they are gods of saw and camp spots. I know that camping and spawning is something normal, and its part of game but older players are so tired and bored of latest massive amount of faggots that for 90% of time just spawn/camp and have no idea of TEAM PLAY, they just quit and stop playing soldat. I know about 30 people that stopped playing soldat because they are tired of lamers that dont know how to get fun from team game.
Second thing its lack of fresh look. Every day I see the same things... and I like ctf_Ash but oh my god I want to vomit when I see that people vote this map again and again, and again... few days ago I played on 5 random servers and for almost 3h I played Ash all the time on every server, because people have no idea that there are other ctf maps...

I came to a realization a while ago that there's this "one side" on these forums where I never go and there's this whole new (old) bunch of users I never knew even existed. Primarily that would be any other board than lounge. As for my activity, it's hard to contribute on a community/game which ceased to evolve 5 years ago. No, it's not because people are growing old and having less time, more like the contribution has been contributed way over it's threshold and there's nothing more to do. Mapping gets new features once in a while, but it dies as fast is it comes because there's hardly any demand for it. I've always found climb maps to be the best pick to get your creations played, as there's way more circulation in map pools, less map specific competition (ctf_Ash dilemmas) and can be played alone as well.
I also played a lot of CTF and 1on1s few weeks back and it's unfortunate that the playerbase hasn't matured the same way the game has, there's way too often someone whining about basically anything related to the gameplay that doesn't work into their favor, following with unnecessary mockery and total disfunction of rational thinking, which just makes me wonder if they had their heads hit by their fathers' dicks as fetuses or something. Nowadays there's near to zero sportmanship in pub servers, if there's anyone chatting it's the kids with superiority complexes and that is very bad for a game with a small playerbase like this. I'd be using pickup channels only if I were as dedicated to this game as a lot of years back.

I lurk on here. I don't play enough to post outside of the Lounge and most of what I read I never really have a response :S So I've been here through 2013, but not really.

SonSukka's Core of Pulcher will probably achieve a playerbase close to Soldat's before real soon and it will probably link them all there just to let them know what was its inspiration, that might bring the forums activity up for a little bit.
