Hey, I am a big fan of Star Wars and made some galaxy & universe research on the net recently and found some pretty interesting stuff.
I just had to share these images because by just looking at them a few seconds all "meaning of life-theories" were gone for now.
Im also interested if you guys believe that there are other living beings out there. I strongly believe that there are even other humans, because I guess the chance for something being there twice is way higher than for some random "alien" race.
Is that even real? (http://dar-dar.de/?p=69)

So apparently, the images are not there.

It's mind-boggling when you first realize just how massive the universe really is, and the fact that there's even more that we can't see. I'd be surprised if there were no other life forms somewhere. It might be just "other humans", or it might be so entirely different that no human mind can comprehend.
I'm just gonna leave this here: http://youtu.be/XGVMP_gqCxY

These aren't genuine images but an attempt at accurately demonstrating the size difference between celestial bodies. Shocking nonetheless.

Our solar system is vast beyond comprehension. Our Galaxy & known Universe almost defy belief. I would be surprised if there isn't some form of extraterrestrial life even within our own solar sysetm, let alone throughout the Cosmos.
Jupiter's moon Europa is just one celestial object within our solar system which is potentially home to a liquid water ocean, there are more. Around 94 percent of life on Earth is aquatic. I am pretty confident that there is alien life out there (at the microorganism level). In terms of complex life forms, in my mind, it certainly seems plausible.
We are all made of stardust. Oh how we shine.

Supermassive black hole NGC1277 compared to the size of our solar system

- ahem - NGC1277 is the name of the galaxy that has said black hole as a center. It is an interesting galaxy, actually, in more than just one way. :)

Every galaxy has a centrally located black hole

So apparently, the images are not there.

Oh, sorry. I've made the post from my mobilephone and from a mobile connection and if you are on a mobile connection every image gets a new link
e.g: http://1.2.3.4/bmi/www.google.ru/image.PNG
instead of just: www.google.ru/image.PNG
The links will only work for mobile internet connections
On Topic:
It's a very interesting thing but it really causes a lot of mindfuck ; depressions.
Thinking about the most frequent questions
-How large is the universe? Where does it start and where does it end (if it ends) and what's behind of the end then?
-How did it all begin? // Religions come into now
I'm wondering myself why no one seems to care about that (society / me earlier). I always knew that Jupiter is the largest planet in our system and even that was a thing 99% of my friend didn't and still don't know.
shouldn't that be considered as the goal with the highest priority for the humanity and so for all of us?
-
mankind should be more interested about our own Earth and well-being before we think about other solar-systems and planets.

Wanna feel really small: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiverse
Our universe might a tiny bubble in the ocean of other universes

Life form, as in, it equates to some nonsensical bacteria on a lone planet somewhere. OH GAWD, it's gonna spawn green gooks.
-
A planet inhabited only by dinosaur-like creatures would be pretty fucking cool; maybe even have evolved dragon-like dinosaurs with wings.

Then the dinosaurs would fly to this planet and exterminate the human race. Thanks Adam.

Dont worry, we have this:

By the way, here's a neat program called SpaceEngine, which lets you fly around the universe. You can fly as low and slow as a passenger plane, or you can go hyperspeed fast through the space. Every star, planet, galaxy, nebula, everything you can see is actually an object you can fly to, not just a static skybox. Unfortunately it doesn't feature very detailed terrain with vegetation and such, but it's pretty cool nonetheless: http://en.spaceengine.org/

Sounds like your mobile provider is filtering/changing your posts or something is very wrong with your settings somewhere. :-/
