Here we go again!
Idea #3:
- Player ID and the flag count (hidden if you're using the /) at the same place
- Hide all interface infos/kill logs/chat logs when you're using the F1 and theres stuff being overlapped (If you're using 1080p, 720p etc nothing will be hidden).
- If there is more info to show, the black rectangle will appear with the [pgdown] and [pgup] hints.

Very sexy!

Version for 4 teams? Also, you forgot about Server time etc. but it shouldn't be a problem to place it somewhere there.
-
So, scoreboard to look different than the F1 menu? or does this involve a new scoreboard aswell?

The F1 menu is the scoreboard lol.

Now yes, but it doesn't necessarily need to be like that..?

I was thinking about this. But seriously, tell me how many times you saw a match with 4 teams. Since 2002 I just played a few times in 2004, TM matches just for fun. It's not the time to say goodbye for Charlie and Delta?

To replace the F1 scoreboard...
-
It's not time to say goodbye to Charlie and Delta?
Nope it's not time for that (still many active modes using charlie and delta teams some of which I do play)
-
I don't know if delta and charlie should stay or not, but I know there are 4 teams at the moment :b However, people use these 2 additional teams quite often in their scripts.
Another thing - spectators?
-
Houston we have a problem NOW!
I'll think in something...

::) :|
Edit:
I can limit the players list to 6 per team and do something...
PLUS: Idea! If you press F1, then press a KEY (idk what key), you will see the full players list without team categories, just the players with their stats and colors. You could go through the pages with one more hotkey or a button (<< >>).
-
I just wanted to suggest, to have a design like the new wepons-menu ... but you were faster..
One problem could be that we here really need the vertical space.. So what about placing as much as possible horizontally (eg. the player-count and hidden-count), in order to get 1 or 2 extra lines for the players?!
And making the headlines a little thinner..
Well, having the teams aligned beside eachother instead of on top of eachother just makes sense! I don't know why it hasn't been added already.. One has more space (for players or teams), and one can directly compare oneself to the guy, placed identically, from the other team.
Nice work again! I hope all this will be implemented! ..But why is it a bug??..
-
You're missing cap counter, scrollbars for player lists, and spectators. Otherwise - great design.
-
What L[one]r said.
Also missing the player id when in command input mode "/" which requires you to see all the players in the list.
I think the players hidden in #2 is not clear enough took me at least a second look to notice that there are actually players hidden.
How are the hiding rules working? I prefer a list which you can scroll with pgup pgdown (or similar, maybe mouse scroll wheel) instead at least if it isn't the endgame screenshot.
It is a really nice mockup!

Wow, Soldat'a gonna be even more awesome sometime in the future. 8-)

It's possible to scroll the wheel in the area where your mouse pointer is over? Example: Bravo players list/stats only.
Or scroll down the entire scoreboard to see the rest of informations? (just a second option)
-
You can use Page Down button if you didn't know

Add Idea #3.
Idea #2 and #1 problem: The length of players name. The layout in 640x480 doesn't support 24 characters.
-
I like your layout. fits to your other one.
I'd say tho instead of hiding, doing it like we already do: fade everything a bit out with transparency.

Looks ugly (check! (http://i.imgur.com/mssHIL3.png)) and unnecessary TO ME, a lot of infos behind the scoreboard and we don't need them. But the idea keeps those things if you're using 1024x768 or more.
-
I like the #3 design.
There are a few issues though:
Numbers should be alighted right.
Where will be the regged player/Dev shield positions?
What is the first column about? Ids or Caps? If they are caps where will ids be?
I would use Ping instead of MS.
What is the highlighted line about?
I would attach the info about pgup and pgdown at the end of the list instead at the bottom of the page.
Example:
james bob 1 1 139
joe jamson 0 0 100
press [pgdn] to scroll

Idk yet...

At the same place. If you press "/" you will see the ID otherwise you'll see the flag count.

The selected player, idk. I'll remove it...

If you're using 640x480 you can't see the msg, that's why I put the rectangle. ;)

Would it be possible to see the IDs directly without having to use / ?

There's a good reason?

That would be pretty confusing. Only server admins will actually ever need the ID's. Usual players will not know what the numbers mean.
-
Well yeah. Maybe it could be confusing for non admins, I guess.
-
Hmm flags and ids at first position not sure about that.
I feel like it is better to have them next to the kills/deaths.
I think the current left align is there because it is simpler to do but I assume right alignment is better.
How about to make the last complete visible line the line with the info about scrolling with page up/down.
Ideally everything works with mouse and keyboard (ios like scrollbars when scrolling?)
