The purpose of this poll is to determine which maps are the most liked for their gameplay.
Most popular maps will eventually be remade with improved graphics while preserving original layouts.

I think a ranking system would be more useful, give points for a map instead of voting 5 out of them.
Btw. what is the problem with Shau? Epic map.

Could you include pictures of every map? I don't necessarily remember them all by name.

I voted for Blox, Cambodia, Island2k5, MrSnowman, and Tropiccave, but I still feel like giving my support to other good maps like Airpirates, HH, Krab, and Bigfalls. I don't know why you'd limit it to 5 votes (forum limitations?), but it's not enough IMO.

I am pretty surprised that Lagrange only got 2 votes. It is the beginners map #1.

I actually had it previously set to 10 but that's just over a third of all DM maps (29 total). I want the poll to be quick to get through and also want the participants to put more thought in what they pick.

Hmm.. You're asking what our favourite maps are... so that you can CHANGE them? :o
I suppose I am ultra conservative when it comes to Soldat and probably should learn to accept change over time.

Tropiccave
Though honourable mentions should go to Arena, Arena3 and Blox. Having admin'd a DM server for quite some time I can say those maps are pretty popular for their gameplay.
Should probably say that without a shadow of doubt the most popular map used for DM [at least on the server I admin] would be ctf_Ash (not my personal favourite, mind you).
Would also like to add MrSnowman on behalf of Camper(SWE) as I'm willing to bet he doesn't visit SoldatForums but I had to mention it as he has requested this map umpteen times.
Also showing support for Shau. Don't Delete! You should not have Cyberman capabilities. :( ^Chernobyl - ctf_Crashed Bridge^ :(

Lagrange is iconic. Could've been improved a lot, but it would still be iconic.

Voted for Island2k5, Blox, Bunker, Airpirates, MrSnowman. I always enjoy them very much when I get to play them in a DM pub packed with players.
While the others play nice, I feel they're too old (I've been playing them repeatedly for ten years) and they don't look very attractive.

Bigfalls, Flashback and Jungle are very classic and still looking good. I tried to remake the first one, but I came with conclusiin that it is good as it is. Same with Jungle. Flashback needs a little facelift.
