Title: screen shakes
Post by: paintZoom on December 20, 2017, 10:04:59 am
what if the screen shakes during the explosions get a nerf or replaced with some sort of subtle color grading" effect
or just plain remove it and make the explosi?n sound more appealing with reeverb or something nice

have u noticed how this is an effect that was abused on oldschool fighting games but now modern fighting games dont rely on this anymore
and some franchises almost removed it from their games ...

For a better experience, use Options and Sound Volume set to 100%. You experience really cool effects of distant explosions and others.
Mod create for me weapons mod. Use this weapon mod to good reload sound synchronization.

I think it's ok for the screen to be shaking when a nade, m79 or Lawshot explodes. I want to remove screen shaking when the other guns are used. This is for example a reason to not include minigun in your servers, because the shots shake up the screen for everyone in the server.

And maybe we can lessen the area of effect of the explosion so that your screen will only shake if your ghostek is X length away from an exploding nade? I know an explosion on the other side of the map will not affect you, but the impact area is too big in my opinion

I agree that for example with a lot of nades it's a bit much.

Not sure about the "subtle color grading". Soldat doesn't really use shaders. They probably won't work on old gfx cards either (atm some people use old opengl versions with wine).

Will put it on the todo list but it's lower priority.
