Title: How to color polygons?

Please could anyone explain me in a simple way how to color polygons in Soldat PolyWorks program?

Edit: Okay I think I know how to do it, so the question now is: Is it possible to recolor black texture/poly into red or green? If so then how? Because this program doesn't work so simple like paint ;/
