Title: 2018 - Proper interface alignment
Post by: duz on April 30, 2018, 06:58:07 am
I'm making a trailer for the game but I get mad every time I notice that kind of thing.
This is at least the 3rd time (past topics: here  (https://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=44627.msg528759#msg528759)and here (https://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=44058.msg524986#msg524986)) I post about interface alignment and I never got an answer or devs haven't shown that this is a real issue.

Here's the 4k screenshot:

Looks like the big text alignment is fixed, which is good because I've posted about this in 2014 (https://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=43711.msg521911#msg521911).

But why we can't get proper text/interface elements alignment?
This also improves the visual quality of the product and for me, looks like an easy task for programmers. Easier than improving the netcode.

Please, do it before the Steam release.
I'm gonna do some tricks to fix it (adding blank spaces in the .txt file) instead of showing bad alignments in the trailer.

PS: SPLIT THE ELEMENTS (https://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=44627.msg528759#msg528759), PLEASE.

Better: do not include any of this in a trailer (text/interface/weapons menu/whatever) - excessive bloat.
Check out the Pod video rgnr made, on the contest announcement for reference.

Still a problem.
But yeah... I just thought the interface wasn't any excessive bloat. Now I'm gonna record without anything but the crosshair and the big texts.

I honestly think you can lose the crosshair too, but I can be insane for tidy and nice visuals sometimes. :D
