I would like to know if you server hosts/owners use the new (2.5.1) version of soldatserver, or the old one. I know that the new one is a bit bugged, but has nice new features also, for example REFRESHX, just to mention one.
I want to know this so i can work on ARSSE depending on your answers.
I don't really want to use REFRESH if REFRESHX will work fine.
Of course, it would cause incompatibility with old versions.
-
I plan to start using it as of 2.5.1, since I know enesce is actively fixing all the bugs and implementing the tweaks suggested
-
I use it.
I don't use custom maps so it seems to work fine.
-
Custom maps aren't the problem, theres a few bugs.
Changing the gametype while the server is running, and if you played with FF on you would realize the bugs with the TK punish.
-
I use it in my custom maps server. /nextmap command is quite buggy tho'. It often crashes the game. :-\
-
I sure do :)
-
Going to...when I decide what kind of server to run
ARSSE is fabulous...keep up the good work!
-
More people will probaly use it if ARSSE is compatible with it :P
-
ARSSE is already compatible with it :) The fact is - that the new beta ARSSE isn't compatible with old server versions yet
-
just a note:
do you want this thread to apply to 2.5.1? If so, please edit the topic to say so, otherwise ask me to lock it
I just wonder that every time I see this thread, and it should either get more attention for the new version or be left to die. I don't blame it for being paid attention to since there are people like me who think it should apply to the new version still ;)
-
Yeah, i wanted to do it already. Thanks for noticing, now i updated the post for the new version.
-
All servers on http://www.gamepark.cz/Hra.asp?H=2 are on new ded. serverĀ ;)
-
No I don't make servers because no one ever joins because it is too laggy.
-
all of my public servers are now on the new version
-
i use, not 'love it' until the master command, nextmap, works -but still use it and enjoy
