Anywho, I'm suggesting a new game mode, called Turf wars :)
So, there are two teams. One team (Blue) defends there turf, while the other team (Red) attacks the turf, and captures it by standing on a special polygon for 8 seconds. Now once this turf is captured, any teammates on that team that just captured that turf cannot respawn until there whole entire team is dead, or the turf is captured. Now there wouldnt just be one area for turf, but multiple areas for turf :) So the team would have to capture turf if its pulsating.
Ok i've said turf too much.........Is this a good idea?

yeah i like it. I even had a similar suggestion in the old forums... I believe it was called Take Over. You'd have flags (all white at the beginning) and each team has to try to convert it to their respective color. People can spawn there if it belongs to them. It would take 3 seconds to neutralize a flag-place and an additional 3 seconds to make it yours. The first team to capture all the flags and kill all the enemies would win! In addition, you were able to choose your own spawnpoint...

This reminds me of BF2.
Capture points, and move on. Except there's no 'ticket' system.
To win: Kill all opponents and capture all flags.
Meh. Something that would be interesting I guess.

I like it too. This is probably one of the better game ideas i have seen in a while. Cool idea.

this reminds me of halo2 on xbox live. There is game just like this, i cant think of what it's called over there, since i dont play halo2 anymore (or most console games for that matter)

good idea, howver methinks it will take A LOT of tweaking, seeing how (in my opinion) soldat is pretty much blitz the enemy or lose

I say MM should just take the best of game modes from other games and enable them in Soldat. For example, that game type in Unreal Tournament where you have to get the nodes to link to the enemy base, then destroy it. And this turf idea sounds like the King of the Hill game mode in Halo 2. It's probably in other games too.
In general, I agree that Soldat can never be too customizable, have too many game modes or any of that shit. Well, okay, at some point it does become like 10 minutes just choosing options. But Soldat is currently nowhere near that level of complicity.

INF, place both flags close to each other, but not on top of each other, close to bravo's spawn. POOF! Modded Turf Wars!

This isn't team oriented, it will dry out like HTF and be a "who has the better players". It would also be the type of game mode to encourange one-hitters.

Sounds neat, although it'd work a lot better on the bigger maps.

this idea is too much like a cross between INF and HTF. I don't think it is worth putting this in because it is just slightly different

yeah but HTF is crap and all the maps are real small. MM definitely needs to come up with some new games modes
