You can still use mIRC after those 30 days.

Yeah, it'll basically just annoy you to death with the messages about purchasing a copy when you first start it, but other than that you should have no problems with it even years after your trial has "expired." You could also choose to use QuakeNet's web chat client (http://webchat.quakenet.org) if you'd prefer.

I don't get Soldat people and Quakenet.
I like Rizon. It has more stuff than Quakenet, is nice for both those that are beginners at IRC and advanced users, not to mention a nickname service.

Somehow Quakenet has become the de facto standard for video game related channels, and I doubt that's going to change. Not that I have anything against rizon... they even have the official 4chan channel!

for starters, you spelled the channel name wrong on the list. and also, sna.gather is still an existing gather, so there was no reason to replace it.

When I try to get into the quake net server through mibbit, it says that mibbit was banned from quake net. Does this mean I will have to actually download an irc app? I also see that there is a means of authorization in the form of a password to go through on mibbit. If I acquired just that, would this allow me to gain access to quake net through mibbit or is it still banned?
