Title: Punch and he'll drop the flag

This is a kinda old tread i did in the old forums...

HOw about that when a enemy got the flag...if you punch him he will drop the flag?

Maybe 50% chance.?

This was in the first version of soldat, it got removed for some reason. I'm gonna go with no because there must've been a good reason why this was removed.

I also wonder why it was removed from the early years of Soldat.

Because it adds a random, annoying factor to the game? There are times when the flag carrier and the attacker cross each other, and punches are landed on both players, because both of them are holding the mouse button. These situations would be annoying if you'd drop the flag, because there's much more luck than skill involved.

Want to return when you catch the enemy flag carrier? Use a chainsaw!

Ow lol i didnt know that it was on an earlier soldat version^^

I started play from 1.1.4 and i thoght that it was early....

I assume if this was implemented that when the flag was punched out it would be returned straight away, if so it'd be way too random to be fun.

No! It will be annoying and the flag will probably be returned immediately.

If you punched someone with a flag strapped to their back they would not drop it..

Would take some of the skill out of returning the flag. As Demonic said, use chainsaw.
