Title: [request] Demo details program
Post by: RedNinja on December 01, 2006, 09:55:52 am
I was wondering if someone could make a program that will loop through all of the *.sdm files in a given folder, and at the end the program would make a log with like:

Filename:
Players:
Gamemode:
Demo Version:

etc

Thanks.

Hmm... nice idea for a program that surely would be useful, but it would be a bugger to do since nobody ('cept MM) really knows how the demo files are structured. I suppose one always could try to find out by hand, but... oh well, it would be kind of a pain in the arse to do.

Hi,
You can ask someone to do it on the soldat forums.

Ahem, I am pretty sure the soldatserver code has got the Demo Structure :)
I will check when I get home. If I do, I might consider making a program similar to this, since im bored.

Its a toss-up between making a Soldat G15 LCD program or a Demo-thingy-mabob.

A while ago I checked it with a hex editor and couldn't figure any of it out.

So you can record game play from the server but it doesn't show how it creates the file?
