Well, theres numerous reasons. If you're playing with too high a ping (ie: lagging, the act of a delay between you and the server) then the server may say "fuck it" and ban you automatically. Playing with a high ping is generally bad for all involved. You'll find it hard to shoot people or see where they are correctly, and the same for everyone else towards you.

Alternatively servers do have an option to allow players to 'vote' people out of a server for whatever reason. You should see a little box pop up at the bottom left asking you to press F11 (no) or F12 (yes), with info on who's being voted and why. This can unfortunately be for any reason from the whimsy of players.

When you load the lobby in Soldat and request a list of servers, try to organise them by their ping. The lower the ping, the less lag there'll be. Pings around or under 50 are ideal. Theres 500 Soldat servers around the world, so finding at least one server with a low ping shouldn't be a problem.

Also if you're new to soldat, check out this website: http://wiki.soldat.nl to learn the basics of the game and playing online.

Or maybe the admin hates you. Maybe the admin is your boss or something.

Pay attention to the server messages.

Hmm... Sethamundo experienced something like this a day ago.

Basically he and I was playing in the Forums server and then his brother joined from behind the same router. They both immediately got banned for flooding, only to realise later that he hadn't turned on -  I think it was DMZ - on his router.

Could this be the case?

thank you mr moderator sir yes sir!
:)

no really, that explains a lot... i think its that ping thing...
another question: once i get banned, am i banned forever? or for the time being only?
and... how do i know if i was kicked?

Well you'll usually get a little message at the top saying something along the line of 'kicked by admin from command console' before you're immediately taken back to the menu page in Soldat, if an admin of the server has chosen to manually remove you. Otherwise, those automatic ping bans are only for 15 minutes I think. Think you get a 20 minute ban if you click 'join game' over and over too often too.

Having a good ping depends on your connection a lot, as well as the proximity of the server you're playing on. I live in the UK and there ain't no way I can play a game in Japan for the lag.  Anything better than a 56k modem is usually best, and be sure to not be downloading or uploading anything while playing either.

Ping kick's last for 15 Minutes, When you are kicked and you try to rejoin it says ''You are banned from this server
