I'm showing this to my math teacher. ;D
-
heard the conversation 3 days ago, it was hilarious.
-
That guy must have dropped out.
-
I listed ed to the how thing, very lol.
This is why you shouldn't listen to your math teach you a shortcut. Things like this happen.
0.002 cents = $0.00002
-
Some people amaze me...
-
Yea, the people in verizon were idiots, but so was the caller.
First of all, if he thinks that they are just going to charge .002 cents, logically that is bull****. I dont even pay a phonebill or even know most rates, but I know that is INCREDIBLY cheap to the point where I wouldn't even believe it.
Secondly, he is horrible at teaching and understanding that REPEATING the same ****ing method over to someone who doesn't understand it will not work. As well, it was more of a unit difference, but instead he focused on bringing .002 and zero zero/thousandth. Sure, I understood it and most people would. Most people get the concept, but this guy is an idiot for not understanding how to describe it in a less "confusing" way.
I don't see how you could side with this guy either. Yes, I think he should get a refund but he was almost as much of an idiot as the people on the phone, and a bigger asshole.
-
I agree, but I believe the guy just wanted to do that....make verizon look like retards.
-
Exactly, which is why I called him an idiot.
-
Take into fact its easier to understand something, like math, written down rather then spoken.
-
It's also difficult as hell to teach, with or without being able to write, and more so when you consider that the guy had already been on hold for a long time and was extremely frustrated.

He was trying to get that one woman to write it all down but she seemed a little too offended to want to listen to him at that point.
I figure if you can't do that kind of simple math, why the **** are you working in the financial department of Verizon?

A smart idiot.
