dedicated server troubles

I've read the official guide and made a dedicated server, but I'd also like to play while it's running. There was something about running a server remotely, and something called an FTP, but that wasn't really explained. is there a way to play while running a dedicated server?

Just download the dedicated server from http://soldat.pl/down-s.html
and run your soldat client aswell, use 127.0.0.1 as the IP.

Just make sure you start the server BEFORE the client; else the client will bind the port and the server will crash.
