Send MM some $$$ I'm sure it'll help. :)

But in all seriousness you don't really just become one because you want to (at least I don't think there's a way to apply for a beta tester position). You become a beta tester by actively showing your support, contribution and general attitude in the community, and if the beta team wants you in their team, they'll surely ask you.

First of all, it's pointless to ask since 1.3.2 is probably the last version michal is going to do in a LONG LONG time if EVER and it's coming out ANY TIME NOW.
Second of all, you need to be mature, reliable, have long term knowledge of soldat and how it works. Last batch of beta testers were all HARDCORE clanners with the previously mentioned attributes. Offcourse we all have to KNOW you so we can KNOW that you actually HAVE those attributes. There.

The answers in here pretty much sum up the general answer.

Sorry to post after a lock, but I'm an admin and a beta tester, and would just like to explain in further detail. So HAH!

We won't be needing anymore beta testers, as we're in beta right now and have enough. Also, no one is sure when the next beta for Soldat will be, if any. Michal (the creator of Soldat) is working on a new game, and 'could' be considering - sometime in the far off distant future - to give the open source for Soldat to someone else trusted and reliable to continue working on Soldat. He hasn't decided who yet, if he's still considering that option. No one knows right now. Otherwise, the next version of Soldat is most likely very far far away in another galaxy.

When we went looking for beta testers, the current beta testers look at the community in general. Not just these forums but in other communities as well, and look for well known and established, mature, reliable and available players with lots of experience. We whip together some names and spend time discussing whether they would be a benefit or not to us. We always need new beta testers as some of the current ones can't always be around to help at the drop of a hat. When/If next beta happens, we'll do just that again.
