R/S/A matches.
« on: January 23, 2007, 11:22:07 am »
Well, I have played a lot of R/S/A matches, but everyone owns me with every weapon. Any tactics what weapon to use etc.?

P.S. I've been playing in Leo's R/S/A, so I would appreciate help for those maps.

From the time Soldat started, I believe. R/S/A stands for Realistic Survival Advance mode.

they just use the weapons they have mastered. Try doing the same, master a certain weapon and you will see the result.

Well, I will do good once I get a primary weapon(well, not the Steyr, I somehow hate it), but it starts with only secondary weapons and I'm not so good with them. I just get some lucky finish offs, but I've had too many deaths and then I can't get any weapons unless I pick up one.

advanced mode, ya it sucks for you when you join in the middle of the game since you start with pure secondaries while others have a bunch of primaries ready . You can socom-spray if you dont have broken fingers.

Knives work devilishly well. Or a law, if you can't knife. Just try to get the first few kills and then you are off to the races.

Saw, half the time all you have to do is dodge a LAW, or you're chasing an empty law, or waste the Socom'er before you get them. It's all about the element of suprise, and it works really well in the more enclosed maps, especially the ones with little jets. You also have a nade to use. I highly recommend this.

However, if you are more conservative, use the socom, I'd suggest firing as fast as you can, then the aim will come naturally over time.

I give a nay to the LAW myself, because if you miss, you're toast for that round, and even if you kill one person, it may not be enough for the prime weapon.

Perhaps it's the way you write or because people don't know who you are.

Advanced mode wasn't introduced until one of the later versions. in fact, I think it's all 1.3.1 material, so no :)

Anyway, I can only advice you to learn your ways with the USsocom. It is unbelievably overpowered, especially in realistic. i find it ever as good as a primary weapon, and I get a good load of kills with this little bastard. ;)

I don't know, I was just throwing out ideas.  Actually, I didn't pay attention to the topic before, but that's your problem (for this thread, at least) -- very few people play R/S, almost nobody plays R/S/A.  You have no audience available to intelligently respond to your posts.

How many of the people who play R/S/A ever come on to the forums, though?
