Need to make new weapons...

This might be stupid, but....

How do I add new weapons to Soldat?

I'd want to add awesome weapons like the M1 Garand, Thompson SMG, maybe the M21 Sniper Rifle, the Colt model 1911 pistol, a Desert Eagle as a sidearm...

That sort of thing.

I've already modded the weapons.ini file to add them, but they won't show. I even added the images and the interface images.

Know why I want to mod it?

I'm making a MACHINIMA of Soldat, called Crappy Modding.

Look up Machinima on Wikipedia if you don't know what it is.

Oh, and before you ask, I DO play Soldat. I'm kinda good, too. Not phenomenal or anything. Just good with Ak-74 and M79.

EDIT: Okay, this is REALLY STUPID. But, can someone just help me? Or give me a link to the right topic?

What's with the edit? It hasn't even been a day yet. Give time for someone to respond, man; we're not on here totally 24/7 :P

You cannot add anything to Soldat; you can only replace existing weapons; that's why they're not showing. Change names in ..\Soldat\Txt\weapons.txt.

and make sure the pics have the same file name as the original guns in soldat (im not sure if its required but im pretty sure it is)

Oh, and, does anyone know why everything for the Colt 1911 pistol is there? And for the single Desert Eagle as a sidearm?

Were those supposed to be there in case of modding?

You sure do like to ask a lot of questions, huh ? :) In any case, the Colt is actualy the USSOCOM, the name just hasn't been changed ... yet.

Thx for the help.

I don't know much about modding, but I caught on to Polyworks as soon as I started using it, so I'm pretty much able to make maps now...

I changed the name. And I want to have a couple pistols as possible sidearms. Like the pre-programmed Desert Eagle instead of the LAW...

Never liked the LAW.

And, note, the modding is meant to be crappy. Hence the machinima name.
Like the fact that the SOCOM is more powerful than the shotgun... ;D

What are you talking about? The SPAS can kill in one blow if the wielder and the victim, even if he's at full health, are in suitable positions. That's Damage for every individual pellet. :P

See the chart in the bottom-right of the Soldat Wiki's Bulletstyles page. You cannot modify those aspects of the weapons.
