is that right to make your own mod is to use paint to draw the weap and ect.

yeah, paint is a sh*t of program, but simple enough for making graphics for soldat. it's best to get used to work with paint, especially for soldat, if you aren't making some "masterpiece" stuff

Paint is a good program for making mods for soldat, you don't need any fancy stuff to make it look good. Use your imagination and draw and it should be good. If you have a hard time making something look the way you want or so then look at the other mods here they might help you a lot. And learn how to use paint in an effective and fun way
Otherwise there are programs like GIMP you you really need something with more advanced stuff.
