I used a scenery called wb-water.png. My map compiled correctly and I could playtest my map. Abruptly i started getting this error message several hours into my mapmaking session today:
"Error loading texture: C:/soldat/SCENERY-GFX/WB-water.PNG"
whenever I start a game with my level.
After several restarts of polyworks and my computer the error persisted.
I knew other PNG files worked. Fade is a much used one that never gives any problems. So I removed WB-water from my map, and replaced it with a less graphics intensive "water.PNG." I simply saved WB-water as something else after downgrading graphics in paint. I still have the problem. Now it just says:
"Error loading texture: C:/soldat/SCENERY-GFX/water.PNG"
I don't want to save it as bitmap cuz then the graphics are really bad on it.
The only solution I have found, is deleting all the water, compiling it but not saving it, and then restarting the computer in which case I can start the game, but without the files.
SO FRUSTRATING! please help, it will speed up the release of my congo server.
