Texture Stretching?
«

Hi!
I have looked around on some places and I can't seem to find a good texture stretching tutorial. Is there any good texture-stretcher here that can make one? Because it is the only thing in mapping that I haven't found anything about (that I want to find anyways).
So, anyone knows how to stretch textures?

In polyworks, you select one or two vertices in a polygon then use the texture tool, hold down the right mouse button and drag to stretch the texture.

Yeah, but I was thinking more like, how to use it to make it look good. I can stretch, but I wanna learn how to use it properly.
Anyone?

It might help if you're familiar with 3D editing programs. If you make a 3D image in one (with an applied texture), then zoom out and look at it as if it's a 2D image, you'll see exactly what you have to do to create realistic 3D-looking maps.
