what about caliber and air resistance, wouldn't that slow down deagles too?

It affects all the weapons. If bullet loses 20 units of speed every 50 meters, it means that for Spas the 20 loss in the speed is more effective than it would be for Ruger or AUG. That's why it is wise to stay close to the enemy when having weapon which has low bullet speed.

I like the AK the way it is now. I never had a problem with the gun, and it's my favorite weapon anyways. You just have to be skillful. It's not that hard to utilize the AK.

Yes... Feel the positive energies flowing... The time when the AK ruled over the autos... The time when newbie clans were popping up everywhere, only using minimi and LAW, and still kicking arse... The time where missing was not an option...
Those times are gone. AK cannot be the strong gun it used to be, because all guns have been hit hard by balance.

At first, i hated the AK, but after playing in sna.gather ive grown to love it.  It feels awkward at first, but you will get used to it.  The key to beating other autos is using the AKs range and accuracy. and now it has RoF to back it up for assualting. I think the ak is fine as is.

Funny how, back when I was clanning, Me and a clanmate always paired up with an AK....You know how everyone in Realistic mode always whore around with the Ruger?...well, Me and the clanmate used to batter the accurate ruger son-ova-bitches with the inaccurate-as-hell AK, and somehow managed to come out on top. AK, is a little underpowered, but with a magazine as huge as the one it has....who needs power, when you've got a huge clip?

anything is good in realistic mode, because pretty much everything kills you pretty much instantly. in normal mode the ak is slower then a fat kid in a marathon.

But the ak has the punch, and the accuracy in normal mode, back that up with range and 40 round clip, it slaughters in the right hands.
The damage over time of the new ak is slightly higher, and the RoF is perfect. Also the less bink it seems to have is a really good addition. Autos needed a slight boost, espically to keep up with the ruger, which is really painfull.

Play with it more, and you will like it.

i played with it during 1.2.1 and i liked it just fine, i played it in 1.3.1 and almost gaged 40 bullets mean nothing when you can't fire 3 rounds before the bink kicks in, and it takes ages to get off those 3 shots, not to mention they don't do jack. 1.4 is just barely an improvement off of the latter.

Well the exp. Ak now has the same firerate as the one in 1.2.1 and the selfbink is barely noticable anymore. I would have removed it completely if they'd let me ;/

All I know is that looking at the new balance, steyr's going to be the new hot item. What  a disappointment. Ak is a cool gun. Terrorists use it, ragtag African armies, the indonesian rebels. It's just classic... *tear*... and now you're going to take that away from me? oh and by the way, with the increase on barret accuracy, and without the AK ownage, these servers are gonna be mutha ****** packed with barretards. just fabulous.

In server mods, AK was the most powerful and can kill at LEAST five zombies, provided all five of them doesn't lag.
All I know is, AK-74 was one of the guns I fell in love with, before the barrett.

I think that the hkmp5 is much better then the ak weaker but fast reload and very good on close range ak is good against snipers thats my opinion and its not underpowerd its a strong wep

AK is good at taking out everything from a distance. Great on big maps with camping spots.
