graphics card fan

The fan on my gfx card is pretty dead. I saw it had some dust in it so I removed it, but the fan wont work.
this cause the temperature of it to go up to like 120 degrees (celcius) like the other day when I was playing bf2. this results in choppy gameplay and such.

And I also wonder if it could have taken any damage, because now even soldat is chopping a bit on some maps.

Im gonna buy a new graphics card as soon as I can afford it, but untill then I just need to get this one operational.

it is a Radeon 9600 series card by the way.

Not very smart to continue playing demanding games after you've noticed the fan's dead...

It is indeed likely that your card suffered permanent damage from this.

I noticed yesterday and havent played bf2 since I found out.
I got alot of clan matches coming up in bf2, so is there any alternative ways of keeping the card cool? a table fan next to the pc perhaps?

The term is liquid cooled, because some people trust their silicon/plastic tubing to handle antifreeze and such, but water cooling in terms of overclocking a cpu isn't very effective for the price of installing it.

You need tubes a basin with pump to pump water continually and the basin is supposed to fit in the slot for a cd drive

Don't keep your pc open, it is a dust magnet even with the casing, you should just get the new graphics card or replace the one you have.
