Why is this version so laggy? Even on low ping servers...

~ everyone with under 100 ping ~

When i get into a battle the game starts chugging. Everything I try won't solve the problem... it never used to chug like this on ANY version before.

I've heard just as many people say that 1.4 is a lot less laggy.  My guess is that this will sort itself out, there are a lot of problems with just about everything right now.

Flies it is less laggy, it is actually better. In 1.3.1 my ping would be O.K it would be 16 then  it would jump to 100 then 55, then 66, but now it just staying at a certain place instead of having uncertain laggy spikes.

The only thing that still doesn't have a problem yet is, erm...well. Let's just say there's bug-less stuff you can count on two hands.

I don't think he means lag, he's talking about FPS dropping so that the game doesn't run smoothly.

Are you playing with a higher resolution or windowed? Soldat 1.4 is a bit more demanding than 1.3.1 due to new font system. If you can't run it fast enough full screen on 640*480, you can always try running it in compatibility mode and I assume it will work faster.

Another thing:

In case you have Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTX/GTS, their drivers can't run Soldat well yet.

I think there is much less lag in 1.4. I lagged life a mofo back in 1.3.1.
