ANOTHER STUPID VIRUS

Geh! CALLING ALL NERDS! I REPEAT, CALLING ALL NERDS! (Nerds in the best way possible  ) I really need your help.



This thing keeps popping up continuously over everything, and if you hit "Close" nothing happens it just pops up again, same with "Ignore". And if you leave it, it just keeps registering more and more of it self in the Task Manager.



There are three of the same names because i didn't hit close after about 25 seconds. It just keeps building itself up and up and up and it eventually slows the whole computer down till it decides it's had enough, and restarts itself.

i recommend removing that.

I did google it, but all it was coming up with was people saying that theirs said "hard error", whereas mine says "Illegal instruction".
I'll check those sites out, i don't want to remove a system32 file and screw the whole computer up.

I just had a whacky random thought that this may be happening because that virus is old and used to stuff up 16bit cpu's, but your one is a 32/64 bit cpu. just a random idea.

I see you have McAfee. What good is an anti-virus if it won't remove viruses?

I cant remove the file, or edit the .exe at the end of it's name because  it's "being used by another program".

boot in safe mode and delete the file.

if you see the file in taskmanager right-click it and click end process tree

Thanks for that, i was thinking about booting in safe mode to delete it. I didn't know about the process tree thing though.

I tried booting in safe mode and deleting, but it didn't work  kept saying that it was in use by another program.

BUT!!

I fixed it!!!
I found a sensation little program called KillBox, and it will delete anything you tell it to, no questions asked. No more annoying pop ups now! Thanks to all of you who tried to help.
Ever get a problem like this, search and download KillBox!

I hade a rather annoying file that no matter how many times I rebooted it wouldn't let me delete it.
Thanks for mentioning KillBox, I sent that god forsaken file straight to hell.

Killbox DOES use cmd to delete the files.
