FPS?
« on: June 11, 2006, 02:00:56 pm »
My Fps is 57-60 but goes to 53-57 when running a server. I've heard people having 100-300 fps. What the hell? How do i get mine up? My computers fine, it can run oblivion.
Thanks
,Gerfuggery

You might not have your video card set to go any higher than 60 fps. It could also be that your monitor doesn't support a higher frame rate. In any case, I wouldn't worry about it. 60 fps is more than enough for Soldat.

Aye you wouldn't notice the difference between 60 fps and 300 fps. The human eye isn't that pro :D

Listen to Denacke. Anything over 60 doesn't matter.

That's exactly right.
Even at that number you're fine, and you wouldn't see the difference between 60-1000 if the change was even there.

I would say i can se a diffrence between 60FPS and 101FPS in forinstance counter strike or BF2, it all goes more smooth.

Yes nano you might for BF2 or CS, but we're talking about Soldat.
In Soldat you probably woudn't.

If your monitor supports only 60 Hertz, it doesn't matter if your video card can support 200 Hertz. You will be capped at 60. You're only going to go as fast as your slowest component.

+ high resolution means low hz, and high hz means low res.. mostly!

Around 60 FPS is good.
Also, I'm pretty sure that windowed gives you higher FPS.

Do not bump old topics. You have already made a post, you don't need to dig back to June 2006(11 months ago) to find another one.
