CHARACTER ISSUES

Every single time that I start up 1.4, I always have to reconfig my name, colors, etc...  Why is it doing this?

I am getting the same problem my character's name changes to AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, all the clothes go to black my controls dont work when i join and they need to be reset, this happens everytime i join, and yes i have 1.4 version of Soldat.ini this is really annoying someone help.

1.Um. Check if the soldat.ini (or regged .ini) is marked with write only.
2. Did you copy a 1.3.1 .ini? Don't think that's compatible.
3. Re install(un intall-->remove Soldat directory-->reboot-->install-->reboot-->setup Soldat-->play)
