Why can't I cut and paste polygons from one map into another map?

I use Soldat Polyworks, but I can't seem to merge two different maps or even take a set of polygons and objects from a map and paste it into the other.

Is this even possible?

Did you use prefabs?

File->Import/Export, the rest is self-explanatory.

Select the stuff you wanna move to another map
Go to file then export
when you open another map go file then import...
