Taunt List buttom?

Well what do you think....

I have noticed that is is very hard to remember all the taunt positions you have when you are playing...
so why not add a List buttom...that takes out all the taunt like a list where you can choose from.

Like this...


1.Lets say Page Up is the list buttom. You press it.

2. A list shows upp, like hmm a pop up with 15 lines. (like the vote popup but bigger.

3. There you choose the taunts...

But the window would have to be transparent, so it wouldn't interfeer with the game.

I remember all/most of mine, so im not to soncend. I just try to put the bettons in order.


So I might not use it myself, but I don't see why i shoulden't be introduced.

not for it.  reason:  if you want to have like a button to make the menu come up and then have a list of things to do and choose one with the number keys it'll take WAY too long to read and select one.  if you memorize the combination (like [taunt menu button] + [2] + [1]) for a certain taunt, you might as well remember the ctrl + [button] combination.  soldat is way too fast-paced!

Most people only use a few taunts anyway, and a menu is difficult to navigate in the thick of combat.

The only advantage the taunts have over typing the message out is the speed at which it can be done. For most things like "efc low" it might be quicker to just type instead of using a list.

i bet it will take time and as soon as you find your taunt you return to the game and find yourself owned, hanging over a polygon by your leg

Believe it or not, CS has some good features in it and it's ignorant to dismiss something simply because it has something in common with CS.

you should just be able to press a nutton (let's say the scroll-lock button) and it will display the hotkeys for your taunts.

Let's say i want to use my "The name's Bond.... James Bond" Taunt but i forgot which key it is
I press scroll lock and a small list (transparent) comes down and displays all my taunts. I find my taunt and it tells me what to press.

So I press it. - The difference is, we still use the 'alt' key. But sometimes you forget the corresponding number or letter. That's what the menu is for. A little different because the menu isn't really interactive, it just lists your taunts and it is up to you to press 'alt' + 'Number/Letter'

Then press scroll lock to hide the menu

If it's an out-of-the-way-for-those-who-don't-want-it sort of thing, as I'm gathering, then sure; it won't hurt anything. I don't really find it necessary, though. I don't have a hard time remembering my taunts, and I can barely remember what the weather outside was like when I come inside.

It was simply my opinion about originality of Soldat.
I remembered that Soldat has some part of CS in his platform.^^

Nah. Its simple to me anyway.

The biggest problem i have is saying (alt+q) 'Friendly Flag Carrier: Low' and then when my finger quickly comes off it i accidently push (alt+a) 'Roger that.'
