being the noob i was back on 2004 when i found soldat, i had my first online game like 2 months after start playing soldat cause i even didnt know soldat was multiplayer! so i go: "Join game? nice" I connect to a random DM server. I dont remember the map, but it was a custom one. There was only me and one guy there. Them i said: "tHAT isnt a bot!!!" (i was a noob).
Well, i died and died cause i was always falling into the red death poligon. The other guy, who name i cant remember killed me more times of course, i had no online experience. After that match, i got addicted to soldat since them.

Hey same here. It took me a few months to discover multiplayer. Actually my first online match was when I was playing TDM with bots. I guess the 'register in lobby' option was checked, and people started joining.

It was kind of funny because before I knew it there were 10 bots and 4 real people, and I didn't know what was going on. I still remember one guy saying "too many bots ='("

same here i played a few monts with bots in inf_fortress...damm thoes were good times
plus i had an old version Oo so even if i knew how to join i could than when soldat 1.2 was out i've downloaded it and start playing...but i had a good start a campers only server that means
barret,pistol and knife so i kick everyones axx

I originally found Soldat not long after it was initially released. At the time I didn't have a decent enough connection to play multiplayer, so I grew tired of it after not too long. Many years later I came across a news item of the 1.4 release and remembered Soldat and the longing for online multiplayer. So I downloaded it, fell in love with the online combat after the first match, and haven't looked back.
