Game freezes at profile select.

I installed 1.4.1 a few days ago, and it worked without a hitch.  Today, when I started it up, the game froze as soon as the profile select screen appeared, and whenever I click, I get the Windows patented "Haha, you're F**ked" beep.  I can't even Alt-Tab out or Ctrl-Alt-Delete...  Running ME.

Mayeb it's the autoupdate. Download the patch from soldat.pl and apply.
