Wow, that is beautiful!

Looking at the design, It looks like it would make a good inf map, as well...

Looks like it would flow nice, but one would think that the eyecandy would get in the way of gameplay.

scenerywizi its pretty, possibly even a little overdone but... no its fine.

The main prollem I see with this is that the polys are overstretched to the point that I can see the individual polygon structurez. Kinda ugly and very distracting.

My only complaints are probably the lack of boundary on the left (although I know that was done purposely to assist with the atmosphere), and the water; it's too opaque. Otherwise, the rock texture, coloration, layout are excellent. Scenery also is good, although that tree in the middle of nowhere is kinda weird, heh.

Bots? :P Eh... perhaps. At the least, after school is over (~ mid-June), since finals and end-of-year projects are swamping everyone here in the States... or I could just do a theoretical job real quick.

Hm, map looks nice but i think the backround color is a way too dark...The scenery is nicely done too....But the texture stretching could be better at some places...Nevertheless map is great!

Yes i agree. I was changing texture when half of map was done therefore strange stretching.
Thanks for comments and downloads :)

I think you should add a little transparency to that background. And I think that some clouds like fog or something would be nice for a gloomy atmosphere. Other than that it's pretty good and even has decent gameplay and fluid movement(to some degree)

That is an excellent map, though maybe a little fog on the bottom would be nice.

So....
  • SML - proper map hosting, if you are using forum attachments only forum members can download your map.
  • Archive with the map should have proper folder structure. I recommend to use MPA in order to pack your maps.
  • Texture edge is missing.
  • Layout is kinda blocky... to many right angles, some obstacles are necessary too... invisible deadly polygons are nonsense...
  • Shading is unacceptable...
  • Polygon structure is unacceptable, and it is cause of two previously cited defects
  • Texturing is unacceptable
  • Very low contrast between polygons and bg
  • No waypoints

Why are texturing and shading "unacceptable"? He's trying out a new technique, which looks great from my perspective. The only section I don't like about that is the top-left, which seems redundant, but otherwise it really achieves a natural cavern look.

I was changing texture when half of map was done therefore strange stretching.
To fix it select all polygons and press Ctrl+F...

Shading is unacceptable because of
1. very low contrast between polygons and bg
2. too many random colours
3. it doesn't create 3d effect
