figures tht the first time i start up soldat in a month, theres another patch i need that, as usual, doesnt work. i downloaded it from the soldat web page (since i wasnt able to click on the window it gave me), and unpacked it into my soldat file in my c drive. and yet i still get the prompt to download it whenever i start it up, and it wont let me play.

I downloaded the patch and it keeps telling me there is a new one...

You guys probably put the patch in the wrong place.  Try reinstalling Soldat from scratch if you can't get the patch to work.

will we have to redownload a new version? like from the site?

im no good with pathcing programs, i stick to python coding, but jeez i wish i was better at this.

Please dont feel offended, I just find it funny.

You need to extract the whole .zip (including version.txt) into your root Soldat folder - not into the BattlEye dir.
It WILL work then.

im savvy enough to THINK thats what i did, but of course im sure i messed  up in the most simple process of extracting it into my c/soldat folder.

ill jus delete these files and download soldat again if that will fix my problem. im in no hurry.

well, i just unzipped it on my laptop, and im having the same problem..

- i did extract it in the soldat folder
- i did include version.txt
- i am sure that the above 2 are correct
- im still getting the update message

and another thing: i installed 1.4.1 right before that (hadnt done yet) so it was 'from scratch' if you will.

Did it tell you that the old files were overwritten? If not, something went wrong.

To verify, also check the content of the version.txt - it should contain "6".

yes, its 6, and im sure all was overwritten

i finally got it to work. what i was doing wrong before was i forgot to overwrite the old files. but now it is working.

i was just forced to shut it down again, after finally being able to join a game without the prompt to download something. but once i left the game to change my controls and profile, soldat minimized and i couldnt bring it back up without it miniizing again, for no apparent reason.

this is why i dislike computer gaming as a sport in general.

All I did to fix the problem was download the patch and extract the files where the previous versions of the dll files were. No problem for me.
