Comments on Manual
« on: June 19, 2007, 06:35:32 am »
Where do we post comments regarding changes/typos to the Soldat manual?

UPDATE: In that case, the line in question reads "0.9.9b - third public beta (29.06.2003)". That demo was released in 2002, not 2003.

That's all for now.

I think more pictures. Also, for the pictures already there, label the parts.

Finally, the manual is ugly.

Eh, the manual doesn't burn your eyes and has all the info you need to be able to get the most out of Soldat.
Perhaps more pictures of the weapons in action would be better for players learning to identify the weapons.

Definitely needs more pictures for everything. Maps, weapons, etc.

I find it funny that most people don't read the manual and that's the main source of where noobs come from. :o

It's easier to ask than to read; reading/searching takes patience and effort. Ironically, looking is often a much quicker and richer experience.

I read the manual, the wiki, any other wikis, and weapons.ini, anything to understand the game and to pick up all the basic little tricks that the pro's all seem to know. Much quicker than simply finding it out through a blind search during play.

But it saves a lot of trouble to read the manual instead of asking people, in my opinion.
