I had the same thing happen to me, but I figured it'd be a lot less painful if I'd just pay the measly $14 again. Even if you lost it, you also shouldn't ask people to give you theirs.

I advise to have somewhere a copy of your own .reg - like other important or valuable files. Damn, even not-putting an e-mail with it to trash, gives you ability to recover it.
