This annoys me

Ok, right now, I'm staying a couple of nights over at my grandparent's house while my parents go on their anniversary. It's not bad, we're having pizza.

But there are some things that annoys me. The relatives are overweight, there's a guy sitting in their basement, and every time I walk by him, he waves at me with those cheetos-covered fingers.

Oh, and the internet RETARDEDNESS. I've never seen so many toolbars cluttered on the Internet Explorer page, and the internet connectivity is limit ONLY TO AOL. There's too many goddamn virus scanners and content detections at once, and I recognise at least FIVE bogus virus scanners running.

I'm here with my laptop, and they don't know how to set up the wireless router, it's been sitting in that corner, gathering dust. The internet speed is fast, faster than mine, but much slower because of the clutteredness of it and AOL browsing. pRon folders slow it down THAT much less than all this crap.

Sorry, I'm looking to vent my steam here.

Stuff like that gets to you though... we were helping out a creepy guy from my church. Long story but basically his wife got him put in jail for a few months because she was greedy. Anyway the guy would just sit around random places and you never knew he was there until you heard this loud "Hey Graham!" may not seem creepy but have that happen to you every time you come home... ugg... so glad he is gone.

I can relate, Blue-Ninja.

Seems like the people who have fast PCs or fast Internet Connections are the ones who only use it to send the odd email or write a letter now and again. This is probably most annoying at my school. Sure, it's great that we have many computer labs with fast computers, but there's no need for them to be that fast. There are probably only a few classes that truly need a good PC (Media students, for example.)

But yeah, that's my little rant.

About your problem: Surely you can wait out a few nights without a decent PC? They ordered pizza, so they're clearly trying to make you comfortable. Just be grateful and help them round the house or something. I reckon a few nights away from your PC will do you some good..
