server not working

every time i make my  own server i cant get other people in it, we talk on the phone ... it says 1 of two things  requesting server, or server not founded....

can you help me

read all of th stickies in this forum and use the port setting tester.  You probably need to forward your ports

Alright, we need to know a few things first.

Are you behind a router or firewall? -> Forward your ports
How is your friend joining, via what IP?
Can people other than those you invite join?

PS: Don't ask people to give you the answer via e-mail. The purpose of forums if to collect the answers and solutions so if anyone has the same problem in the future, they can simply use the search function. (FliesLikeABrick)
