The really professional servers (u13sss?)

Hiya,

I was wondering, would somebody be able to provide me a link to download a type of server thats got all the stats and stuff, like leo's (i think it may be u13sss)

I would also like to know what is required to run it, and how you go about running it

(I realise this has probably been asked before, so give me a link to that topic if u want)

It's just a basic server, with seperate add-ons.

U13SSS stands for U13 Server Stats Script and is indeed a script to record player stats on a server. You need to enable logging on the dedicated server and provide access to those logs.
Then you'd need a web-server, preferably with a good CPU and lots of RAM to minimize parsetime. Then you'd need to download and install the U13SSS onto your server (detailed info should be in the download itself) and let it parse the logs once in a while.
That's all it takes to provide stats for your server.

There are numerous other add-ons which could enhance your server, it is up to you to decide which you want and which you don't.

PS: I don't think U13SSS is compatible with the new logformat yet. I developed a huge part of it a while back, but I don't if it has changed since then. I'll get back to it when I have the time. You might want to ask FliesLikeABrick for more detailed information.

Eh, use Zitrostats. Its easier to use and better. Works with 1.4.1.

Depends on the type of user. If you want to be able to edit the code yourself (like implementing it into an existing webpage) U13SSS is definitely at the top, if you just want to have it on a seperate page and all, Zitrostats is your pick.
However, I think Zitrostats would fit better for Dezonus, indeed.

Zitrostats doesn't work better in the long-run.  His database structure is horrible and has almost no indexes.  It creates huge tables and long-running scripts that will inevitably get you kicked from any web host.

edit: and enesce, it isn't my fault that the logging got changed in 1.4.* (and broke my scripts).  It will be better in 1.4.2, I've been talking to MM about it

Yeah Bricks, if I'm still welcome I'll help you again with the script when there's time for me. I'll be rewriting it from scratch, so I can also clean the coding up a bit.

Though we should wait until we're certain that the logformat won't be altered again any time soon. It's only a small change for us, but not even half of the users will update their script and just think it has gone broken.

MM has told me that 2.6.2 will have an option to go back to the old log name format.  Let me know when you want to start working on it again, but lets not hijack this thread to do so.

It will not be updated for the new log naming format unless Dephille does it.  Once 2.6.2 (1.4.1) is out, it will work again anyway
