My own server ping

I made my server fowarded my ports and all that and my friends are joining my server no problem but when im in my server i lag like hell any ideas of what to do?

what IP are you using to join your server?

You should be joining your own server with 127.0.0.1 if you're running it on your own computer, or you should use your LAN IP if the server is running on another computer in your house.

Yes, when I had my own dedicated server I usually got in with the Ip everyone used. But I had around 80-100 ping so then someone told me to use 127.0.0.1 so now when I log in with that my ping always stays at 0.
