strange shut down bug
« on: June 25, 2007, 02:23:52 am »
whenever i try to shut down my pc from a user window (xp) soldat opens, but its all buggy.  i cant close it in any way, and it is very disfunctional.  i have to crash the pc (hit power button on tower) to get rid of it.  but, if im at the window of xp where i pick the user account, it shuts down fine.  i have to log off then shut down the pc to avoid bugs.  its pissing off my dad and if i cant fix it then soldat will get removed from the pc (o noes).

-i run xp OS on a dell
-i have soldat 1.4.1 with recent battle eye update (the
        problem has been before this)
-no other bugs/problems have occured with soldat

thanks for any help!

It does that because the process is still active... you most likely aren't exiting Soldat correctly after playing.

Ctrl+alt+del
Then go to processes, then find Soldat and completely end it.

the alt+f4 turned out to be the cause.  on a side note, soldat doesnt even work on one account on the xp, but the rest are fine.

I believe you have to have administrator rights to run it, the other user probably doesn't have admin rights.

the admin rights doesnt affect it.  i think its just because the account is screwed up or something.

You need admin rights on Vista. On XP, it doesn't really matter.
