the installer couldnt install a .dll file

You mean the BE update here right?
You see, not even the installer was able to overwrite the BE dll in your folder, because something is wrong with your permissions.

Maybe the server you were playing on still had the obsolete BE Server which doesnt work and so your BE Client didnt try to update...

You need to change the permissions in the folder properties. You could also try to uninstall Soldat (and delete the whole folder) and reinstall it under your current user. Then you should have write permissions.

Maybe this helps: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/security/learnmore/accesscontrol.mspx

Why does it suck just because your permissions are weird?

If you install the game under your current user, you shouldnt normally have any problems with permissions.

it sux cuz it requires many things to make it work

it should be easy to install, not make a lot of weird rumbles to play it, and it doesnt even let me play soldat happily

See, if you lock down your BE folder so nothing can be written in it, how should it work?
That has nothing to do with special requirements or anything, its not BE's fault.

Btw, can you change your game settings, does your game modify the soldat.ini inside your game folder?

You mean you CAN change the game settings?

Compare the permissions of your Soldat folder to those of your BattlEye folder. Is there a difference?

Just wondering, you couldnt do anything to your Soldat folder? But your soldat.ini changes... I guess you mean the BattlEye folder?

I have an idea, it might be the BE update installer that does something to your BattlEye folder permissions. Did you use the BE installer the Soldat updater downloaded for you? Maybe try this one: http://enesce.com/?page=downloads&f=30.
Anyway, you should be able to fix it by changing permissions of the folder.

Only move it back if you fix the permissions of the BattlEye folder, otherwise you will get that error again sooner or later.
If you are not able to, maybe reinstall Soldat and then apply the alternative BE update (see link above) - maybe this one doesnt screw the folder permissions.

I got kicked for Corrupted Memory after seeing BattlEye updated, never used any hacks whatsoever so I don't see why I got banned.

If you dont cheat, this could also be caused by e.g. virus, spyware, defective RAM, etc. - anything that corrupts your game's memory.

And lag? I got kicked once when a flame got stuck on me and duplicated repetitively.

Would it only allow access to administrators because it's an installer? In that case, 1.4.2 should fix everything... xD.

SpiltCoffee, I am not sure.

Regarding the lag, did your game somehow freeze? Something might have corrupted your Soldat internally here and thus you got kicked for "Corrupted memory".

It didn't freeze completely, but the frame rate was less than one frame a second. And it was Corrupted Memory #4 I was kicked for. lol.
