Directx Problems-need help

Alright...so i have a problem....when i start soldat i get a message as soon as it begins to start up an error window appears and states "could not initialize directx graphics" and the game then closes.


i need help and answers....i'm not a computer whiz like the most of you, so i will need some good explanation.

how do you turn on and off the video compatibility mode?

It's in the soldat setup.
Start > Programs > Soldat > Setup.

This is happening to me as well.

I have the latest DirectX and I've tried compatibility mode - neither with or without works.

Now what? ._.

ChromedGun, what windows version do you have? i have ME....it sucks sooo much. i have ran into lots of problems like this that are chronic to windows ME, just because its a really crappy version. On my brothers computer which is XP, everything works great...

haha i just think its time for me to get a new computer...haha its almost 8 years old...wow....

I have Windows XP and the drivers supplied for my computer at the manufacturers website are older than the ones currently installed. Last time I tried to get the drivers the site could not even find the computer model (yeah, they really suck) and my computer isn't that old, at least not old enough for it to disappear from the manufacturers website.

I get the same problem. I cant open soldat at all.
Please make a fix for this michal.

This is an issue outside of Soldat, getting this means that DirectX threw an error while initializing. Usually this means you have an old driver, or the driver doesn't support some of the needed features.
