Editing Blood amounts.
« on: August 13, 2007, 03:03:28 pm »
Is it possible to edit the amount of blood on clothing due to damage? Or indicate damage in a more subtle way? Basically anything that makes it easier to see the gostek's team color?

I have a gostek that I like, and it darkens the shirt color in CTF matches. Even lightening it doesn't quite work. It still gets hard to tell who is on which team when they're all bloody.

So if you know the file that controls that please tell me. And if you can give me some tips on how to edit it in the ways I mentioned. Thanks guys.

yes

go to

soldat/sparks-gfx

and edit:

splat.bmp
lillblood.bmp
blood.bmp
splat.bmp

and in soldat/gostek-gfx/ranny (of both teams)

(you can copy the normal gostek over it but then you will have NO BLOOD at all)

there alkso used to be a mod that removed all the blood but can't find it,sorry..

In the folder Ranny you'll see files named in Polish that are the same as gostek files, like Udo (thigh), Noga (shin), Klata (torso), etc. With new alpha-PNG support, you can open the ranny files up with PS, GIMP, P.net or equivalent and reduce opacity/transparency to the desired level and then save it as a PNG. Don't forget to CtrlC and V the folder Ranny into Team2.
