In addition to Ad-Aware (which you don't want suggested), I'd suggest Spybot S&D for anti-adware/spyware

though ultimately I would prefer a faster OS which also doesn't need anti-virus/anti-spyware, thus giving me even more of a performance advantage...

No , it wanst that i ment. CCcleaner is , i quote :

CCleaner is a freeware system optimization and privacy tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware! :)

CCleaner has NOTHING to do with what he's asking for.

He's asking for a program to remove and protect against spyware, adware, and viruses.  CCleaner does none of those.  CCleaner is used to clean up registry entries and unused program files from your computer, such as those left behind when you uninstall a program.

"by using the integrated update"

"by using the integrated update"

"by using the integrated update"

"by using the integrated update"

"by using the integrated update"

Look, it says it right there. Jesus christ. The update button is also clearly visible. If you can't see it in three seconds, you're either blind or retarded, but you're not blind, so that kinda narrows it down!

I have used Spybot S&D and I'm with fluffy on this one...
A painfully obvious update button in there.

Aside from Ad-Aware and S&D, you can't go wrong with AVG.

AVG Antispyware also acts a firewall to prevent malware from getting there in the first place--most of the time. S&D also has an "immunize" function, which is really useful.

Go with avast, it even tells you when it updates so you can't screw it up.

As a matter of fact I use the program daily. I can't believe how this "situation" could have been challenging to you. The error message you get clearly states that you should update first. The update button is humongous.

Your stupidity amazes me. Every post you make is more retarded than the other.
