numgun, i have a idea for you

I know you are one of the best modders in soldat and to in Cortex Command.

Can you make a Mech? With bog sizes (not  a lot) like:

  - Zalo's Brain Mech
  or
  - Charmless's giant clone

Bwhaha... youre late. Im making the GunArms mecha and im 20% done.

O man I will love you if you made GM's and Zaku II's.....and Dom's and crap.

Is making mods easy as Soldat?

Not quite so much. It's a bit harder, but if you know how to use your brain, you can make mods.

I'll try it sometime, but I'll be mostly focusing on making new characters.

I like Cortex Command in a sandbox kind of way, rather than an objective kind of way. Last time I tried it, it still felt way too awkward to play for real, with the AI spamming skeletons at me and everything.

It's still in the test stage. Basically, I hope they get to the part where they script the Campaign.

i just send in a drop ship and drive from side to side at just above the ground and smash their heads off. and sometimes i make little holes for them to fall into, buy a rocket, fly it upside down, then drive the rocket straight down into the dirt, instantly obliterating the skeleton. thats my favorite way to kill.

I tend to shoot at one of the side-rockets of my enemy's dropships. It's entertaining to see it spin out of control and smash into the ground and cartwheel for a bit, crushing it's own guys underneath it.

www.datarealms.com/forum

Go there and enter mod making section. They have all the info there for you.
And if you want to get mods, you must register to get the mods.

=========================================

INSTALLING MODS FOR Cortex Command GUIDE

1. Download the mod (Usually a zipped folder)
2. Unzip it and you will get a folder with a .rte extension.
3. Put that folder(s) with the .rte extension in to your Cortex Command directory.
4. If the mod is a working one and bugs are fixed in it, it should load and you are able to buy that item from the buy menu as anything else.

Thats it, its really simple. Every folder that has a .RTE extension will be considered as a part of the game and will be loaded.  If the name of the folder is changed (particularry the .rte extension) then the folder is just any other folder and is deactivated and wont load as a mod.

=======================================

Btw, Maps are called ''Scenes'' in CC, they can be installed like any other mod.

Nukes... hmm, cant remember, but there are some hiding deep in the forum's mod section.
*Shrugs*

Skykanden: Yeah, my corp is called AAL - Alteisen's Arsenal Labs.
Ive deleted all of my mods of the forums because im revamping them all.
And also to piss off our local fags at DRLFF. But thats another story...

Awwww.....nukes would be fun as hell for a while.

Anyway, while playing this game, I ordered my 43rd Acid Clone (from the mod) in a rocket. He exploded and the rocket did bizzarre things. See below:

It kept exploding over and over, drilling a VERY deep hole into the ground, which went down as far as this:

It kept doing this until I quit Cortex Command, since the framerate was lagging. Funny as hell.
