What is modding?

I thought it was changing from the original, like weapon modding i mean.

I had a server and I had the normal weapons.ini on it, someone went and changed it, so I put it back to normal, so than people come up to me and say what happened to the normal weapons! WHEN I HAD JUST PUT THE NORMAL WEAPONS ON!!!!!! They r so stupid they think that the stupid 1000 speed m79 and the 1 fireiterval spas was the normal weapons.ini :/ and than they go telling me that I MODDED the weapons! EVEN MY ADMINS TELL ME THAT. So than I thought modding = changing from the original but they say NO its modding = changing in any way shape or form :/ stupid people.

So I would like ur input what does modding mean to u?

Modding = Change the original to something different.

So your server was originally using the normal default weapons, but some idiot changed the weapons to some funny weapon mod, then you changed it back to the original, then people asked you "how come the weapons are modded?" when the weapons they were playing were the modded ones, right?

Changing default settings to modified settings is modding/modifying

Changing modified settings to default settings is defaulting.
