I want to learn how to Script

I want to learn how to script and went to the stickies but I have no idea where to start as nothing in the links meant anything to me.

Could any information be given in a really noobish way, and just to let you know, having experienced it, the stickies didn't really help maybe someone should write a new one, if I knew how to "script" I would write one. ;D
